Call for Music Students

The award winning Turtle Song project is coming to Liverpool in 2022 and we are looking for Music undergraduate students to join our team.

Turtle Song is an English Touring Opera, Royal College of Music and Turtle Key Arts collaboration.

Turtle Song is songwriting project for people living with dementia. With the help of professional musicians and music students, people living with dementia and their caregivers will meet weekly to write lyrics and music together. The resulting song cycle will then be performed in a final sharing. Turtle Song encourages artistic and social interaction, a positive outlook through an enjoyable and shared activity and gives the brain and body a bit of stimulating exercise.

Since the first Turtle Song at the Royal College of Music, London in 2008 it has been introduced in Cambridge, Wolverhampton, Dulwich, Hackney, Suffolk, Oxford, Stockton-on-Tees, Leeds, Norwich, Croydon, York, Reading, Newbury, Bishop Auckland and ... Liverpool!

Being involved in the Turtle Song project can help you enhance your professional development and explore new career opportunities.
